RISAT-2BR1, a 628 kg satellite, is meant for applications by the military and various fields like agriculture, forestry, and disaster management support.
India's most advanced surveillance satellite was placed into orbit by ISRO on 11th December 2019. It was launched from the country's own spaceport in Andhra Pradesh's Sriharikota.
Along with Nine foreign satellites were also launched onboard completing the 50th successful mission.
